Presley's grand piano, Keef's Les Paul and Bonham's drumkit up for grabs in rock'n'roll sale of the century...
Elvis Presley's grand piano is up for grabs for upwards of #120,000 in the inaugural auction being organised by Fleetwood Mac founder and drummer MICK FLEETWOOD's new Internet-based rock'n'roll and movie memorabilia auction house.

As reported on nme.com last week, the company, which he set up with music industry figure and memorabilia expert Ted Owen, is to conduct a major auction of Beatles memorabilia, including John Lennon's Steinway piano on which he composed and recorded 'Imagine', which has a reserve price of #1.5million. The Beatles auction will be simultaneously conducted at www.fleetwoodowen.com and at the Hard Rock Cafes in New York and London on October 17.

The general rock'n'roll memorabilia sale includes Elvis' blonde and gold William Knabe grand piano from Gracelands, guitars belonging to Jimi Hendrix, Noel Gallagher and Keith Richards, whose 1959 Gibson Les Paul is expected to fetch upwards of #80,000, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's kit (with a #50,000 reserve tag) and the snakeskin jacket worn by Marc Bolan on the cover of the Slider album.

There is also a Noel Redding and Jimi Hendrix Experience sale scheduled for next month.

Fleetwood, in addition to setting up the auction company, is currently marketing BBC music archives through his multimedia firm Arc Angel, and has his own label in conjunction with Warner records called TallMan Music. Owen is the man who sold Hendrix's "lost" Band Of Gypsies tapes for a seven figure sum, and was behind the first three War Child auctions with David Bowie and Luciano Pavarotti. CEO of FleetwoodOwen is former managing director of Polydor and Roadrunner record labels, and ex-promotions director at EMI, Jimmy Devlin, who also formerly worked with Simple Minds' management company Schoolhouse Management.
