Second Rollers

Bilbo Baggins were originally labelled the "Second Rollers".

"That's just because we come from Edinburgh and have got the same manager, Tam Paton," reckoned Bilbo member, Brian Spence. "But other than that we couldn't be more different!"

Bilbo have released a couple of singles but neither of them quite made the charts.

"We've done some great gigs tho'," said Brian. "We toured with Mud at the end of last year and we've got plenty of other goodies lined up..."

Bilbo had the same kind of problem as John Miles in the beginning, tho'.

"We've had a fantastic following in Scotland for years. All we need to do now is make the break over the
border - but that's harder than it sounds," said Fid.

"The English audiences are very hard to get to know, but our tour with Mud helped us a lot. We had a great laugh too! You can just imagine what It's like working with the Mud lads, can't you?"
