As a side note, The Bay City Rollers also recorded a track called "Saturday Night" in 1973, the lead vocalist at that time was Gordon "Nobby" Clark. Bilbo Baggins' version (not the same song) was recorded around the same time and no one is really sure which version was recorded first, BCR or BB, although neither versions were successful in the UK.

The film below was taken from The Arrows show, UK 1976. It was produced by Muriel Young and recorded in Manchester, UK, at the Quay Street Studios in 1976.

Bilbo Baggins music is not generally available since it was originally released in the 1970's. The only modern release was on a compilation DVD from the Supersonic programme, see below, which has them performing "Back Home". It is a different performance to the above show.

Tam Paton's 'other' group and pretty far removed from the Rollers as well. Great intro that leads into some driving guitar chords. To my ears there's a similarity in sound to Slade - maybe it's the stomping beat. Still, the sound's very competent and deserves some airplay.

There was a lot of comment about how much like Slade Bilbo Baggins sounded on their last single. It won't happen with this one. Instead they've toned down the raucous bits, replacing them with a solid guitar riff running all the way through and slightly quieter vocals.
