I first saw Bilbo Baggins in 1975 at the Saturday Scene Roadshow in Wimbledon and soon became a keen fan and would travel to see them at any opportunity. They instigated a real love of live music for me and for several years I played in various groups on an amateur basis. I moved to London in 1978 and took full advantage of the exciting punk/power pop music scene that was happening at the time and saw many excellent bands.

I now live in West Yorkshire with my husband Mike (who was lead singer in Manchester band the Distractions) and our 2 boys. I have always had a great deal of affection for Bilbo and it has been great to discover more about what they went on to do.

I became a fan of Brian Spence's music upon the release of his solo album "Brothers" in 1986. After the release of his second solo album, Reputation, in 1988, I discovered his sordid past as a member of Bilbo Baggins. I am now a fan of Bilbo Baggins and one of the few male fans (I'm hoping that some of their female fan's adulation will rub off onto me - although going into a monastery sounds good).

I live in Sussex, with a partner of 23 years, a mortgage, one cat and no children.
