Origins Of The Name

"When I was at school, my mates always played rhyming games with my surname. I was called Riddle, Diddle, Widdle ... and much worse! But the one that eventually stuck was Fiddle. Maybe it had something to do with the way I kept fiddling my homework! Eventually it got shortened to Fid, and I've kept it since then."
